We all want not only our mundane vision but also our logic to be clear and clean. Problems should be thought through with a clear head, an untroubled mind. However, such ideal perspectives, once achieved, rarely stay that way. We must work to keep them clear and clean.

So whatever our status and role in life, it is vital to perceive our immediate physical environment with utmost clarity. Because of this, we take pains to clean our eyeglasses and wash our windows - even if we must resort to breath’s scant moisture for scrubbing lenses or premiums to reward professional window-washers for their labor atop hundred-story skyscrapers. Dirt and cloudiness are natural concomitants of use, so regular cleansing becomes a necessity if we value consistency.

Similarly, the deep mind, the subconscious, ultimately allows or obscures key perceptions. It is the primordial lens through which we see and react to the world. If sullied or turbulent, it distorts our understanding and creates hazardous illusions. If clean and transparent, it smooths our journey no matter what the goal.
