Ancient Egypt’s Integral Vision

nature's network: Isis

Nature’s All-Encompassing Network

Difficult as it may be for us at Lucky Six Farms to piece together the spirituality of those who built the Pyramids and Sphinx, we can safely say their prime beliefs revolved around Nature’s all-encompassing network, a worldview where our familiar Cartesian dichotomy of mind and matter, observer and observed held little valence. The West has been fascinated with ancient Egypt’s metaphysics since an archaeological team spearheaded by Lord Carnarvon and Howard Carter pried open Tutankhamun’s tomb late in 1922. Much of this, of course, reflects only faddish inebriation with things exotic, but a more profound interest is also evident. Freethinkers of most major Faiths have wondered at the subtle ties binding Egypt’s multifaceted Divinity to every manifestation of life - human, animal, and vegetative. Perhaps it is only happenstance, too, that the world religious centers of Jerusalem, Lhasa’s Potala, Giza’s Sphinx and Pyramids, plus our own Madre Grande Monastery in Dulzura lie within a scant two degrees of a single latitude line. In any case, few other high civilizations have seen men and women so intimately woven within the variegated strands of Nature’s network.

Nature’s Network - Many Masks Of The Holy

Dry academics never tire of emphasizing ostensible manifestations of ancient Egypt’s radical polytheism. Yet, they rarely note the facility with which even the most diverse animal-headed entities changed places with one another when appropriate occasions arose. Nor do they devote much attention to the frequent, fulsome, and remarkably insightful interchanges between worshippers and the transcendent objects of their veneration. Unlike many in our post-modern West who remain alienated from a distant and seemingly aloof Godhead, the average Egyptian, at least until the Roman period, felt their Gods’ almost conversational accessibility. The conceptual dynamic underlying such close relationships is not difficult to grasp: ancient Egypt saw humanity as an integral part of Nature, so the Gods showed themselves in whatever guise necessary to ratify the whole. Just as actors don a plethora of role-based “masks” in a drama, the Egyptian deities revealed their wisdom through the faces of Nature.

Nature’s Network - Approaching The Highest

Historians have consistently remarked on the prevalence of sacred aromatics throughout the temple precincts of ancient Egypt. Clearly, these herbal substances were compounded with great care, for they were not only material proofs of reverence but also - and simultaneously - carriers of human intent directed toward the ultimate sources of vitality and universal power. Because our beliefs reflect very similar truths about the underlying structure of reality, we always formulate our products with the very same prayerful love. Perceiving such energetic Natural currents can be easier than you might think: simply try any of our smudge sticks, cones, essential oil, or hydrosol for yourself!

Fractal Farming

earth

Living Links Of Earth

Our Earth is much more than a dirty, moist ball of rock hurtling through a bleakly immense vacuum. Home to millions of species as well as humankind, it is a wondrous repository of psychic energy penetrating to the most subtle depths of mind and matter. Specifically, it embraces a highly ramifiedl, undeniably living network, wherein intuition, knowledge, and feeling transcend the fleshly barriers of individual lifetimes. Wisdom teachings throughout the ages emphasized an essential identity between the self-consciously small and the immutably great, between Microcosm and Macrocosm, that is, between (wo)man and the overarching cosmos wherein (s)he thinks, speaks, and acts. Lamentably pushed aside for two centuries by soulless mechanistic philosophies, this primordial truth experienced a recent resurgence via insights generated by fractal geometry and its allied disciplines. Ideas drawn from fractal research and the related field of chaos theory have shown how our Earth conforms to patterning and order wholly independent of scale.

Fractal Earth

By uniting the greatest and smallest components of our being, by forging stupendously gorgeous visions of absolute interconnectedness, fractal thought has done much to rescue us from spurious philosophical isolation and return us to our authentic roots in sacred wholeness. Those who work at Lucky Six Farms and its leaseholder, Madre Grande Monastery, have long contemplated the realities now coming to light in the guise of fractal concepts. We see our duty in making Blake’s “universe in a grain of sand and eternity in an hour” come alive.

White Sage From Our Earth

We perceive how spiraling forms of our organically cultivated, purifying White Sage reflect the immense galactic whorls of energy that have woven our world from stardust. In a similar vein, we are confident the essential oils, hydrosols, smudge bundles, cones, and whole leaves we offer always carry an inextinguishably bright core of that understanding to each and every one of our customers. The benefits of our fractal farming are older than Stonehenge and newer than the latest findings of experimental math: we are delighted to make them readily available for you!

Earthlight

network

Our Network Of Life

We have always lived and had our being via a network. Contrary to popular opinion, widespread networking did not begin - and will not conclude - with the World Wide Web, let alone cloud computing. Rather, from our beginnings in the mists of a historical time we have been intimately interlinked with entities near and far, great and small. Thus, cultivating a plant as purifying as White Sage irrevocably changes those who do it. This is especially true for the staff of Lucky Six Farms who are wholeheartedly committed to manifesting the Earth's illuminating wisdom. Having little faith or trust in popular reductionist methods that increase production at the cost of organic integrity, we seek to bring ourselves into enlightening communion not only with the Plant Spirit but also the immense network of natural connections supporting it.

Network Of Energy

Plants, like people, never really exist as isolated, wholly autonomous islands of being. It is an illusion to imagine otherwise. Like individuals playing out their roles in high cultures, plants rely on a functional network of others for protection, nutrition, stimulation, information, and energetic support. A plethora of animal, vegetal, mineral, elemental, and spiritual entities link one to another in a spectacular array of connections for the White Sage to thrive. We actively participate in that process, so that our ultimate goal - the finest, purest White Sage aromatics possible - can be realized consistently, day in and day out, through every season of the year.

The Divine Network

We believe that our relationship to the White Sage and those who appreciate its power have made us better somehow. Perhaps because we feel humbler in the face of the extraordinary Mystery infusing and sustaining all life. And because we believe that the compassion and openness shining through our White Sage products can open a window of Divine truth to the customers we serve.
